Associate Dispatcher I

Evansville, IN

Pay Rate:

$26/hour

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM CT, with rotating weekend shifts

About the Role

Our client, a leading energy utility, is looking for an Associate Dispatcher to keep its field operations running smoothly. You'll be the central link between customer service, field technicians, and customers, making sure every work order gets to the right person at the right time. When emergencies happen, you'll also serve as a key point of contact with customers and state and local government agencies. Your work directly affects service reliability and the customer experience.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM CT, with rotating weekend shifts

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch non-emergency work orders to field personnel to support both daily and emergency operations.

Manage work orders through a mobile data dispatching system, keeping the workload balanced across the field team.

Monitor, route, and document work orders to service technicians, and review backlogged orders to keep work moving.

Field incoming calls and make call-ahead requests on behalf of field technicians.

Coordinate daily operational needs with internal teams and external partners.

Resolve scheduling conflicts between the call center, customers, and supervisors to reach the best outcome.

Act as liaison between the company, customers, and state and local government agencies during emergencies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

At least 1 year of experience with SAP or a mobile data dispatching system

At least 1 year of experience in or supporting gas distribution operations, or at least 1 year of equivalent dispatching experience
