Job Description
Experienced Flatbed Dispatcher Growing company looking for Dispatcher that must have working experience with Flatbed Transportation to support operations for our Portage, IN location. This opportunity is for dispatching our Midwest Fleet trucks. As a Dispatcher, daily tasks include answering phones, work directly with our drivers to schedule loads, resolving concerns, verifying customer data, and supporting our operations team. An ideal candidate must have a proven leader, be highly organized and show drive as they lead a team, increase productivity, and maximize business. Job Responsibilities Maintain contact with drivers and address any adversity or concerns. Manage and utilize resources available, trucks, trailers, drivers and dispatchers. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in flatbed truckload operations including planning and coordinating loads. Must work well with others and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Working experience with Flatbed Transportation is required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A background in MS Office is required The ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks. Able to effectively communicate and interact with other employees, team leaders, managers, and customers. both verbally and in writing. Must be a self-starter that is able to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience in dispatching a fleet of more than 20 Flatbed Drivers/Trucks. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. A working understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and HOS regulations. Experience with 45-48ft flatbed trailer (Steel Coils Preferred) and related equipment.
