Overview Join our dynamic transportation team as a Dispatcher, where you'll play a vital role in coordinating and managing road transportation operations to ensure seamless delivery and logistics services. This energetic position requires a proactive approach to scheduling, communication, and problem-solving, all while maintaining high standards of customer service. As a Dispatcher, you will be the central hub connecting drivers, clients, and internal teams to optimize fleet efficiency and uphold compliance with DOT regulations. Every other weekend dispatch is also "on call" for emergency jobs called in and paid 2 hours for this "on call" role. Responsibilities Communicate effectively with drivers via multi-line phone systems. Monitor fleet operations, ensuring adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Manage incoming calls professionally, addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and providing accurate information about freight status. Maintain detailed records of shipments, driver logs, delivery times, and other critical data through data entry and Microsoft Office tools. Qualifications Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette for effective phone call management. Ability to analyze operational data for continuous improvement of dispatching processes. Knowledge of DOT regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel for data entry and reporting purposes, as well as Quikbooks for invoicing. Skillsets listed above are a plus, but we are willing to train the right person to help manage our office's day-to-day operations!

Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 per week
