Duties Coordinate freight shipments by dispatching carriers and managing transportation schedules using advanced transportation management systems (TMS) and EDI platforms. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors through proactive communication and exceptional customer service. Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers to optimize freight costs while maintaining high service standards. Monitor shipment progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely updates to clients to ensure on-time delivery. Manage documentation including shipping logs, customs paperwork, trade compliance records, and freight forwarding logistics documentation in accordance with international trade regulations such as FDA regulations. Utilize CRM software for lead generation, client account management, and data entry to support sales efforts and operational efficiency. Collaborate with sales teams on logistics sales strategies, inside sales initiatives, and account management activities to grow client base and revenue streams. Requirements Proven experience in freight brokerage, transportation management, or logistics company operations with a focus on freight forwarding logistics or 3PL services. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, shipping logistics, air freight procedures, and international trade regulations including FDA compliance. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software (Customer Relationship Management), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), AS400 systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with customer relationship management expertise to foster long-term client partnerships. Ability to handle complex logistics planning involving carrier sales, transportation sales, contracts negotiation, pricing strategies, and lead generation activities. Strong data entry skills along with dispatching experience in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail.
