Job Purpose The position of Dispatch Supervisor reports directly to the Director, Dispatch Operations. This position is responsible for developing schedules, booking drivers with the appropriate equipment, handling customer service requests, analyzing driver's daily trips, and supervising union drivers. This is a shift position requiring rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Key Accountabilities Support and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily load assignments Assign driver work schedules on a daily basis to meet operational needs Allocate equipment and units to ensure cost‑effective utilization Maintain accurate and timely operational records Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory and company requirements Supervise, train and hold drivers accountable for their daily actions. Supervise a culturally diverse workforce through coaching, counseling and team building to ensure tasks are carried out in an efficient manner. Oversee the operational workload of team; ensuring allocated staff are fully utilized in order to deliver against agreed program of work. Train, test, and develop LNG drivers (and document training) to ensure staff have the required skills and knowledge to successfully operate CDL and LNG vehicles and ensure compliance with regulations; ensure supervised team comply with safety standards, policies and processes in order to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risk for all staff. Communicate maintenance, operating and training information as well as changes to procedures others as necessary in order to ensure that records are contemporary and accurate. Maintain compliance with relevant regulations by providing up to date information on Transgas and National Grid policies, processes and programs to regulatory bodies. Develop, edit, verify, promote and implement procedural best practices (e.g. operations, isolation, maintenance) within the team in order to ensure all working practices are compliant with Transgas and National Grid policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor and challenge business processes where appropriate in order to ensure Transgas is compliant with regulatory requirements. Qualifications 3+ years - experience in a supervisor management position is required. Associates degree and/or college level courses in business or management preferred. Trucking industry and/or LNG industry experience is a plus. CDL (Commercial Driver's License) / Tanker / HazMat endorsements is a plus. Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office required Must have experience managing a team with the ability to build effective, respectful, working relationships and resolve human resources issues. Must be available to work a shift schedule, occasional weekends required.
