Job Description

This position manages and coordinates all facility maintenance requests by receiving calls, creating and assigning work orders to technicians, tracking progress, and maintaining communication with all parties involved. Key responsibilities include prioritizing maintenance based on urgency, monitoring automated systems for alarms like HVAC and electrical issues, coordinating emergency responses, and performing administrative tasks to ensure efficient and seamless facility operations. Support campus-wide events requiring facilities coverage (commencement, reunion, student move-in) and respond to ad-hoc weekend dispatch needs as assigned. The role requires strong communication, multitasking, decision-making skills, and proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or dispatch software. They report to Sr. Manager of Facilities Financial and Administrative Services.
Position Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelor degree Preferred. 1 - 3 years of experience in dispatch service is preferred Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer's sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
Skills and Abilities:
? Experience in maintenance industry strongly preferred. Experience in higher education setting preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively, especially in high-pressure situations. Strong attention to details and high interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and decision-making skills to determine the proper course of action for various issues. Familiarity with work order management system (TMA or similar) and project management system (ProCore or similar) preferred. Strong leadership skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach to work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engagement with a variety of constituencies.
Position Details:
This is an intermittent, fixed-term role working up to 15 hours per week, 7:30am to 10:30am Monday to Friday. This position is required to work on campus and is not eligible for benefits.
Salary:
The pay range for this role is $25.00 - $25.50 an hour
