Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Dispatch Supervisor to lead outbound shipping and dispatch operations in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment. This working leader ensures that all customer orders are accurately picked, staged, verified, and loaded on time while maintaining strict safety, quality, and cold chain standards. This role partners closely with warehouse, inventory, transportation, and maintenance teams to drive operational efficiency and compliance in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Supervise daily outbound and dispatch operations including dock activity, staging, and trailer loading Lead and mentor team members through active floor presence and engagement Assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure shipping deadlines are met Coordinate dock scheduling and transportation movements (inbound/outbound) Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal departments Quality & Compliance Verify product, quantities, documentation, and load accuracy Ensure all loads meet temperature control and cold chain standards Perform outbound quality checks and resolve shipping discrepancies (misloads, shortages, damage) Maintain dispatch logs, shipment records, and verification documentation Support audits, inventory checks, and compliance inspections Enforce company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures Team & Administrative Oversight Train and onboard new team members Manage timecards, attendance tracking, PTO approvals, and payroll accuracy Monitor performance and provide coaching to improve efficiency and accuracy Participate in daily operational meetings and provide performance updates Identify workflow improvements to enhance productivity and reduce errors Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs at times Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout shift Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift/pallet jack) Must wear required PPE (freezer suit, gloves, hearing protection) Additional Information May require evening, weekend, or flexible scheduling #NCAJ
