July 29, 2026 Notice is hereby given that the following position is available in the Harper Creek Community School District, Battle Creek, Michigan. Harper Creek Community School is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher . The Dispatcher will provide bus dispatch and routing services to ensure safe, timely transportation of district students to and from school and related school events and provide clerical support. Must be proficient in navigating local streets and possess a strong understanding of directions (north, south, east, west). Confidentiality and professionalism are required in this position. This position is scheduled for 230 workdays per school year, including paid holidays, and up to six (6) hours per day, as determined by the Supervisor. The hourly wage shall be equal to the highest hourly rate paid to bus drivers and includes eligibility for a comprehensive benefit package. Please see the attached job description for more details.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or
Experience:
High School or GED. Prefer someone with a minimum of five years of experience in a school transportation environment. Certificates, Licenses, and Other Requirements Valid Michigan drivers license with a positive driving record Ability to obtain a CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements Pass MDOT physical examination Successfully complete criminal background checks as required by law Applicant must include the following documents with their electronic application: Cover Letter and resume including a review of experience appropriate to the position.
