Enter and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently Coordinate and dispatch loads to drivers Source and secure backhaul freight using load boards, brokers, and shippers Negotiate freight rates and manage load details to support cost-effective operations Monitor freight markets and opportunities to maximize truck utilization Communicate with drivers, customers, brokers, and shippers to ensure smooth operations and on-time deliveries Troubleshoot issues and make quick, effective decisions throughout the shift Maintain accurate and timely records of freight and dispatch activity

Job Requirements:

Previous dispatch, transportation, or logistics experience preferred Training provided for the right candidate Strong communication and negotiation skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently

General Description of Benefits:

We are looking for an Operations / Dispatch Specialist to join our team and support our daily transportation operations. This is a 2nd shift position only, with a 2:00 PM start time and an expected end time of approximately 10:00-11:00 PM. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, a strong communicator, and comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment. Dispatch or logistics experience is required.
