Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, customers, and warehouse teams via multi-line phone systems, email, and text, maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear communication. Enter data accurately into the McLeod Transportation Management software platform. Manage shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for cost savings, route improvements, or process enhancements within the supply chain. Maintain detailed dispatch logs, incident reports, and shipment documentation to support operational transparency and accountability. Qualifications Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment; familiarity with freight management is highly preferred. Strong understanding of transportation planning, fleet management, and supply chain principles. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS). Excellent analysis skills to interpret GPS data, GIS mapping tools, and logistics reports for decision-making. Exceptional communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently. Adept at data entry with high attention to detail using typing skills across various software applications. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with familiarity with freight regulations and safety standards.
