Selma, NC| Fuel Dispatcher- Day Shift, 6am-6pm Since 1969, Eagle Transport Corporation has served as a trusted leader in the fuel, chemical, and dry bulk transportation industry, operating a network of terminals across the Eastern United States. As we expand throughout the Southeast, we're actively hiring dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatchers to join our team in Selma, NC ! If you have experience in transportation logistics, fleet dispatching, or fuel delivery operations, this is your opportunity to grow with an established industry leader
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily driver Vehicle Condition Reports and ensure proper distribution of completed documentation Review and input Driver Reports at the end of each shift into our system to verify load completion and delivery accuracy Ensure compliance with DOT regulations by verifying daily driver logs Schedule and dispatch loads using the AS400 Dispatch System, including generation and distribution of required paperwork Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance with Fleet Service Technicians Monitor for equipment misuse or mechanical issues; report any cases of neglect, misuse, or abuse promptly Ensure all dispatched trucks and trailers are in safe, working condition Maintain a proactive daily dispatch plan, updating schedules and priorities as business needs evolve Accurately report all accidents or incidents to the Terminal Manager in a timely manner Track and report driver attendance and other performance issues that may impact safety or service Promote strong communication and teamwork between the dispatch team, drivers, and other departments Work closely with the Terminal Manager to flag any critical issues affecting terminal operations or load schedules
Qualifications:
Prior experience in fuel dispatching, transportation dispatch, or fleet logistics strongly preferred Strong knowledge of DOT compliance, transportation safety, and dispatch software systems (AS400 experience a plus) Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Why Join Eagle Transport?
