Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Planning and arranging daily pickups and deliveries with customers and drivers
• Dispatching and communicating with staff drivers for same-day request for services
• Communicating with customers and consignees for all services requests in a timely and professional manner (via email and telephone)
• Resolving service and delivery issues (via email and telephone)
• Coordinating next-day driver schedules with shipments as per customer requests
• Creating next-day routes for all staff drivers and vehicles (vans, straight trucks, and tractor trailers)
• Handling physical and digital copies of paperwork and record keeping (includes data entry)
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-year previous experience in transportation, warehousing, or freight forwarding (required)
• Minimum of 1-year previous dispatching and routing experience (required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding written and verbal customer service skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers and management
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to problem solve and think critically
• Understanding optimal route planning considering all factors (appointments, size of freight, truck schematics, traffic flow, etc.

)

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 9:30AM-6:00PM (with 30-minutes for lunch)
