Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Truck Dispatcher to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the scheduling and routing of freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining compliance with transportation regulations. Responsibilities Coordinate and assign freight loads to drivers using vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management. Monitor GPS and GIS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery efficiency. Communicate with drivers via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and real-time updates on dispatch plans. Manage phone call interactions professionally, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly. Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, vehicle status, and delivery schedules within logistics platforms like AS400 and Fleet Management systems. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations by verifying driver documentation, hours of service, and safety protocols. Collaborate with supply chain teams, 3PL providers, shippers, and receivers to coordinate shipping & receiving activities. Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements in road transportation operations. Handle internal communication efficiently to support seamless dispatching workflows. Assist in freight planning, route optimization, and problem-solving for unexpected delays or issues. Requirements Proven experience in dispatching within the transportation or logistics industry. Familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or Vehicle Dispatch Software. Strong understanding of

GIS, GPS

technology, and road transportation operations. Knowledge of DOT regulations and shipping & receiving procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and internal communication protocols. Ability to analyze logistical data for operational improvements. Experience working with fleet management tools like AS400 or similar platforms. Knowledge of supply chain principles, freight management, and third-party logistics (3PL). Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
