Job Summary The Village of Walton Hills is seeking applications for the position of part-time Police Dispatcher. Walton Hills provides dispatching for Walton Hills police and fire. This position requires a varied work schedule, including days, evenings, nights and some holidays and weekends on a fill-in basis.

Essential Duties:

Answering police/fire radios and telephones Collect waivers Filing Computer-aided dispatching (TAC) Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

21 years of age or older High School Diploma or GED 2+ years of experience as a Police Dispatcher Experience dealing with the public Experience in typing, data entry and computer software Excellent written, verbal communication and listening skills Ability to multitask under both normal and stressful conditions Available for flexible shifts to include: days, evenings, weekends, midnights, holidays and call-ins.
