Full Job Description Walsh Trucking Co., a 65+ year old family-owned company providing high quality service to solid waste and wood residual customers throughout the Northwest. Our success has allowed us to grow as a known leader in the refuse and wood residual transportation industry. We are currently looking for a night shift dispatcher to join our team in Arlington, OR. This role works M-F, 3:30 pm – 1:30 am, with occasional Saturdays While working in Operations with a team that plans and manages truck drivers in day-to-day operations, our Dispatchers act as the first point of contact with our drivers.
Dispatchers are responsible for:
Data entry of load information Route details Schedules Run reports Entering billing information This position will communicate directly with drivers to assign loads, plan routes, and assist with questions. A successful Dispatcher candidate will have the following skills: Good communication - written and oral Good critical thinking in order to problem solve & create efficiencies Ability to work independently & in a team, multi-task and handle a fast-paced environment Good customer relations Experience in the trucking industry dispatching and/or driver management preferred Good understanding of FMCSR's (Hours of Service) Ability to learn and use software efficiently We offer a competitive salary, benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, vacation and a great work environment.
