Full Time Dispatcher / Operator
  • 3x12 Schedule (4 days off weekly!
)
Location:
4970 SW Griffith Dr, Beaverton, OR 97005
Schedules Available:
Tuesday-Thursday 1900-0700
Pay:
$20 / hr

What You Bring:
As a Dispatcher, you are the first person that community members are in contact with. We are looking for individuals who have a heart and truly want to make an impact in their local community. An ideal candidate for this position will be interested in the safety and well-being of others and are willing to go that extra mile to ensure security. Empathetic approach to a variety of calls Basic computer, Internet, phone, and average typing knowledge/ability Dedication to safety and problem solving; you are our first impression! High emotional intelligence Ability to multi-task and pivot from situation to situation Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen High school diploma or equivalent
Duties and Responsibilities:
Electronically process medical, burglary, and life safety alarm signals and dispatch them to appropriate response personnel Monitor and accurately record the time that all calls are received, as well as when they are dispatched, the time that the officer goes en-route, arrives, and clears the call Monitor two public radio channels of communications for officers in need of back-up or assistance of any kind; act as stand-by for any issues that may arise Monitor Portland's Employee 3000 line to ensure that all on-site officers have logged in at their appropriate sites and are on time Answer all incoming telephone calls and transfer calls according to documentation provided by the caller Provide hourly status checks for on-site security officers Complete and assist with any special projects or directives from the Central Station Manager Made it this far?
