The Transportation Dispatcher Support position supports the safe, efficient, and timely movement of drivers, vehicles, and customer deliveries while assisting with daily dispatch operations. This role coordinates schedules, monitors routes, supports customer orders, maintains accurate records, communicates service updates, and helps resolve operational issues. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, self-motivated, and able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. What you'll do... Support daily dispatch operations, including route assignments, schedule changes, off-route requests, and coverage needs. Monitor route progress, vehicle locations, and service status using dispatch and tracking systems such as ProducePro and Samsara. Communicate professionally with drivers, warehouse teams, customers, and other operational departments. Respond to calls, messages, and customer requests, documenting details and escalating urgent issues when appropriate. Assist with wholesale and will-call customer orders and related customer service activities. Help resolve delays, missed stops, breakdowns, staffing shortages, weather impacts, and other service disruptions. Coordinate driver schedules, maintain on-call driver lists, and assist with staffing adjustments to meet operational demands. Maintain accurate dispatch logs, trip records, driver documentation, and operational reports. Verify that required paperwork and electronic records are complete, accurate, and submitted on time. Collaborate with transportation and warehouse teams to ensure deliveries are picked, shipped, and completed on schedule. Identify trends and operational improvement opportunities and communicate recommendations to leadership. Promote company values, customer service excellence, and a strong safety culture throughout the department. Attend and contribute to department and driver meetings. Perform other transportation and administrative support duties as assigned What we look for... High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics, scheduling, customer service, or administrative support preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, data-entry systems, and transportation software. Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain accuracy, and adapt to changing operational needs. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Familiarity with routing, GPS, telematics, fleet-management, or transportation-management systems preferred. Knowledge of safety practices and transportation operations preferred What you'll gain...
