Koppel, PA Position Summary The Dispatcher & Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the timely, safe, and cost-effective movement of products, materials, equipment, and transportation resources. This position serves as a key point of contact between customers, carriers, drivers, warehouses, production facilities, and internal operations teams to ensure shipments are executed according to schedule and company requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment where priorities can change quickly. Strong communication, problem-solving, and logistics coordination skills are essential. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily transportation and dispatch activities to support inbound and outbound shipments. Schedule and dispatch trucks, carriers, and other transportation resources based on operational requirements and delivery priorities. Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery and proactively address delays, schedule changes, or transportation issues. Communicate shipment status, delivery schedules, and changes to internal stakeholders, customers, carriers, and drivers. Coordinate with warehouses, production facilities, sales, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure material is available and transportation is aligned with operational needs. Verify shipping documentation, delivery requirements, quantities, destinations, and carrier information for accuracy. Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, transportation activities, and exceptions in applicable systems. Track carrier performance, on-time deliveries, detention, delays, and other transportation metrics. Assist with carrier selection, load planning, routing, and transportation scheduling to optimize service and cost. Resolve transportation discrepancies, including damaged shipments, shortages, delays, missed appointments, and documentation issues. Ensure transportation activities comply with company policies, customer requirements, applicable regulations, and safety standards. Support the preparation and review of transportation-related reports, KPIs, invoices, and freight documentation. Coordinate special, urgent, oversized, or time-sensitive shipments as required. Identify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency, service levels, communication, and logistics processes. Maintain professional relationships with carriers, drivers, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Perform other logistics and supply chain duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Transportation, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or a related field. Experience working with transportation carriers, drivers, freight operations, or industrial logistics is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond quickly to changing operational requirements. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, or logistics software is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external transportation providers. Preferred Skills Knowledge of freight transportation and dispatch operations. Understanding of supply chain and distribution processes. Experience with shipment tracking and carrier management. Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, or other applicable transportation and safety requirements. Experience coordinating steel, pipe, manufacturing, energy, or other industrial products is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. Strong analytical and data-management abilities. OTH Pay:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
