If you have 9-1-1 call taking and/or dispatch experience, enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and thrive in fast paced environments, the Traveling Dispatcher position with Moetivations may be exactly what you are looking for. Moetivations provides short term and long term 9-1-1 call taking, dispatch, and CTO support services to agencies across the country. Our Dispatcher On Demand (DOD) teams help support emergency communications centers experiencing staffing shortages, transitions, and other operational needs. This is an opportunity to take the skills you already have and use them in new places, alongside new teams, while continuing to make a real impact in public safety. No two deployments are exactly the same, and that is part of what makes this role exciting, rewarding, and unique. What You'll Do Travel with fellow DOD team members to support public safety agencies nationwide Professionally handle emergency and non-emergency calls Dispatch police, fire, and EMS personnel using radios and computer aided dispatch systems Provide lifesaving pre arrival instructions to callers Monitor and track emergency response units during active incidents Maintain communication with field personnel during patrol and emergency operations Accurately document calls, incidents, and related activity Adapt to a variety of PSAP systems, workflows, and operational environments Build relationships and support agencies when they need it most Compensation and Benefits We know experienced dispatchers have options. That is why we focus on competitive pay, flexibility, support, and opportunities you will not find in a traditional PSAP setting. Starting pay is $25 per hour plus per diem pay for every shift worked on deployment Other pay rates available based on certifications, and specialized skills Full time and part time opportunities available Travel consists of 10-day trips or 20+ or more travel days per month Housing, airfare, hotels, rental vehicles, and travel logistics coordinated and covered by Moetivations No apartment hunting, booking flights, or figuring out labor taxes on your own W-2 employee status, supported by EAP, HR and Peer Support Paid vacation time and paid holidays Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options for eligible employees 401(k) options available for qualifying employees Reimbursement for certification renewals and approved training No credit checks required Remote work opportunities may be available when not traveling, including quality assurance reviews and related support work Employees are encouraged to regularly return home to maintain work life balance and avoid burnout Comprehensive insurance coverage including workers compensation and extensive liability coverage Access to wellness resources, continuing education, conference opportunities, and career development support Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of 9-1-1 call taking and/or dispatch experience High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a criminal history background check APCO training certifications preferred Protocol experience and certifications such as EMD, EFD, and EPD are highly desired (IAED, Total Response, legacy flip cards or APCO Intellicom) Experience working with multiple CAD and radio systems is a plus Strong multitasking, communication, and decision making skills Professionalism, flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude Why Moetivations?
