Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Responsibilities Coordinate daily dispatch operations for freight transportation, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes. Utilize GPS and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and AS400 for route planning and tracking. Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Collaborate with 3PL providers to optimize logistics operations and enhance service delivery. Monitor fleet performance and address any issues that may arise during transit. Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and communications for reporting purposes. Experience Proven experience in dispatching or a related field within transportation management or fleet management. Strong understanding of freight logistics, shipping, and receiving processes. Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with various stakeholders. Familiarity with GPS technology and its application in route optimization. Experience working with Oracle Transportation Management or similar software is highly desirable. Knowledge of 3PL operations is a plus but not required.
