Full-time | Monday-Friday About Us Lia Transport Services is a growing intermodal drayage carrier specializing in efficient, transparent, and technology-driven container movement. We service the Savannah Ports— providing dependable solutions for import and export freight. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Intermodal Drayage Dispatcher to join our Savannah operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Port Savannah gate systems, terminal operations, and driver coordination. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient turn times, container tracking, and on-time deliveries. Key Responsibilities Dispatch and manage daily drayage operations for import and export containers. Monitor Savannah Port gate systems for container availability, holds, and release statuses. Assign, schedule, and track drivers to ensure maximum efficiency and port turn productivity. Communicate with customers, drivers, and warehouse staff to provide real-time updates and resolve issues. Troubleshoot operational challenges such as chassis shortages, port delays, or equipment issues. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activity, container status, and load documentation.
Requirements Experience:
2+ years of intermodal or drayage dispatching preferred.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with Savannah Port. Understanding of PortPro dispatch/TMS platform is a plus .
Skills:
Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Technical:
Proficient with dispatch/TMS software and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Plus:
CDL-A or previous truck driving experience. Basic understanding of truck mechanics and troubleshooting. Knowledge of FMCSA Regulations, including DQ File Management Compensation Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience).
