Emergency Roadside Dispatcher

Emergency Roadside Dispatcher This position will answer and respond to any emergency or non-emergency calls to provide assistance or important information. The main duties include logging each call, providing answers to questions and supervising truck routes to prioritize and organize their route. Our business is fast-paced, changes every minute, and is not for everyone. We provide towing and roadside assistance for over 60,000 people annually. Our footprint reaches across Madison, Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha. Our dispatch hub is located in Madison, WI and this is not a work from home position. We run a alternating weekend schedule , which means every other weekend is required. Skills Required Excellent communication skills under any type of condition Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes and personnel Better-than-average knowledge of computers and typing Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time Ability to remain calm with customers in stressful situations Ability to relay information quickly Automotive knowledge Ability to work well with others Responsibilities Answer phone calls from drivers and customers Document and verify info with customers Monitor dispatch maps and lists Dispatch drivers to correct call order Call customers to update estimated arrival times Collect necessary charges
