USA Logistics Inc. is seeking an experienced Government Freight / US
TRANSCOM
Dispatcher to join our growing operations team. This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing government freight moves, with a particular focus on U.S. Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) / Department of Defense freight , while also supporting our commercial freight operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience dispatching government or military freight and understands the higher compliance, documentation, communication, and service requirements associated with these shipments. What You'll Do Coordinate daily dispatch and execution of government freight shipments. Manage loads from tender through delivery, ensuring all requirements are met. Work with drivers and owner-operators to assign equipment and ensure on-time pickup and delivery. Monitor shipments throughout the entire transportation lifecycle. Communicate with government transportation personnel, brokers, customers, drivers, and internal operations. Manage government freight documentation, including bills of lading, delivery documentation, proof of delivery, and other required paperwork. Ensure drivers understand and comply with shipment-specific requirements. Track shipment status and proactively communicate delays, exceptions, accidents, breakdowns, or other service issues. Maintain accurate records of government shipments and supporting documentation. Coordinate appointment scheduling and delivery requirements. Ensure shipments are properly documented and closed out after delivery. Work within applicable TMS, government transportation systems, and electronic tracking platforms. Assist with maintaining carrier and driver compliance requirements associated with government freight. Identify operational issues before they become service failures. Support after-hours or time-sensitive government freight requirements when necessary. Work closely with the Safety, Recruiting, and Operations teams to ensure qualified equipment and drivers are available for government freight. Help develop repeatable processes for scaling USA Logistics' government freight operation.

transportation operations . Experience working with government freight tenders, shipment documentation, and delivery requirements. Understanding of the importance of strict pickup/delivery windows and shipment visibility. Experience working with government freight systems and/or transportation portals. Familiarity with government carrier requirements and compliance expectations. Experience with
SPOT , DTS , GFM , ETMS2 , SPS
, or other government transportation systems is a plus. Commercial Freight Experience Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: CH Robinson High-value freight Hazmat Pharmaceutical / temperature-sensitive freight Dedicated freight Expedited freight Long-haul dry van Owner-operator fleets What We're Looking For 3+ years of transportation dispatch experience. requirements. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Strong attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where service failures are unacceptable. Ability to make decisions quickly when freight is delayed, a driver has an issue, or equipment becomes unavailable. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new transportation systems quickly. Ability to communicate professionally with government personnel, customers, drivers, brokers, and internal teams. Strong ownership mentality—you don't simply move a load; you own the shipment from tender to delivery.
