Full Job Description Night Dispatcher Location:

In-Office Schedule:

Midnight (12:00 AM) to 8:00

AM Hours:

3-4 shifts per week Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Dispatcher to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing truck movements during overnight hours, providing real-time location updates, and maintaining clear communication with customers to ensure efficient and timely service. The ideal candidate is organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working independently during overnight shifts. Responsibilities Dispatch and manage drivers and trucks throughout assigned shifts Monitor shipments and track truck locations in real time Provide accurate location and status updates to customers Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, delays, and route changes Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service requests Maintain detailed dispatch records and notes Coordinate with operations and management to resolve issues as they arise Ensure all deliveries and pickups are progressing according to schedule Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dispatch/tracking software Previous dispatch, logistics, transportation, or customer service experience preferred, but not required Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential What We're Looking For Dependable and self-motivated individual Problem-solver with attention to detail Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations Strong sense of urgency and accountability Compensation Competitive pay based on experience.
