Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispatcher/Office Operations Coordinator to join our team! Whistlersexpresslogistics.com Duties Coordinate dispatching of freight and transportation requests using transportation management systems (TMS) such as Trucking Office, DAT and TruckStop or similar tools. Utilize GPS and GIS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery efficiency. Manage pickup and delivery schedules, ensuring timely processing of shipments while maintaining accurate records through data entry and AS400 systems. Communicate effectively with drivers, while maintaining strong shipper and brokers relationships. Monitor fleet management activities, including vehicle maintenance schedules, safety and basic FMCSA compliance knowledge. Assist with transportation planning by analyzing data to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. Support office operations by managing shipping documents, coordinating freight movements, and maintaining organized digital and physical records of all logistics activities. Experience Proven experience in dispatching or transportation coordination within a logistics or supply chain environment. Familiarity with transportation management systems such as Trucking Office, DAT and ELD. Strong analysis skills to interpret GPS data, GIS mapping tools, and transportation metrics for decision-making. Dependable, strong negotiation skills with excellent communication and problem solving skills. Experience working with freight carriers, 3PL providers, shipping & receiving processes, and fleet management operations.
