They coordinate logistics, assign loads to drivers, and manage route efficiency while ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The core goal is to maximize fleet profitability while safely meeting customer delivery schedules .Key Responsibilities Load Planning & Routing:
Assign and schedule freight, plan the most cost-effective and efficient routes, and monitor for weather or traffic delays. Communicate continuously with drivers to provide directions, manage delivery expectations, and address on-the-road emergencies like breakdowns or accidents. Act as the primary liaison between the trucking company, brokers, and clients . Provide real-time updates on freight location and delivery status . Monitor driver hours-of-service (HOS) and electronic logs to strictly enforce DOT safety guidelines. Maintain detailed, digital records of shipments, trips, and working hoursManagement Skills:

- 3+ years dispatching dry van freight
- Experience managing 10+ trucks simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of DAT, Truckstop, and major broker networks
- Understanding of HOS regulations and ELD systems
- Route planning and load optimization
- Customer service and issue resolution
- Driver management and communication skills
- Experience with TMS software and fleet tracking systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
