Reports To:
Dispatch Center Coordinator About the Role Quantum Towing & Recovery is looking for a Dispatcher to join our growing Operations team. Our dispatchers are the connection between our customers, drivers, law enforcement, and business partners. This is a fast-paced position where things can change quickly, so we're looking for someone who can stay calm under pressure, think on their feet, communicate clearly, and keep things moving. If you're organized, dependable, good with people, and don't mind a little controlled chaos, you may be a great fit for our team. What You'll Do Answer and coordinate incoming calls for towing, roadside assistance, accident recovery, and impound services. Determine the priority and appropriate equipment needed for each call. Dispatch light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks based on the job. Communicate with drivers, customers, law enforcement, body shops, repair facilities, and impound locations. Provide drivers with accurate job information, directions, and safety details. Monitor truck locations and job progress using GPS and dispatch systems. Keep customers updated regarding service status and estimated arrival times. Maintain accurate dispatch records, job notes, payments, and required documentation. Process and maintain documentation related to impounds, intakes, releases, and vehicle information. Review previous-day work for accuracy and follow up on outstanding items. Monitor and respond to work-related emails and communications. Support drivers in the field and adjust priorities as situations change. Follow Quantum's policies and procedures, as well as applicable TDLR, local, state, and federal requirements.
What We're Looking For Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dispatch/GPS software. Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred:
Previous dispatch, towing, transportation, logistics, emergency dispatch, or related experience. Knowledge of Central Texas roads, highways, and traffic patterns. Familiarity with towing equipment or dispatch software. The Right Person for This Job We're looking for someone who is: Quick-thinking and able to make decisions under pressure. Reliable and takes ownership of their responsibilities. Professional and comfortable communicating with all types of people. Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed. Detail-oriented because accurate information matters in our industry. Positive and solutions-focused, even when the phone won't stop ringing. What You Can Expect This isn't a sit-back-and-watch-the-clock kind of job. You'll be part of a team that keeps trucks moving and helps people when they need it most. Every shift can be different—one minute you're coordinating a roadside assistance call, the next you're working with law enforcement on an accident recovery. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems, and want to be part of a team that makes a difference every day, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to join the Quantum Towing & Recovery team! Quantum Towing & Recovery is an equal opportunity employer.
