Job Description

Location:
Mission, TX Overview:
This position involves overseeing the production process according to predetermined specifications and using batching software. You will be responsible for verifying that the concrete meets the required specifications. The batching operator will interact with other employees on a daily basis and must ensure compliance with safety and maintenance policies; therefore, teamwork and personnel management skills are required.

Paid Vacation Health Insurance Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for daily inspection of facilities, do necessary repairs and will complete maintenance checklist. Safe operation of the Concrete Plant with computerized equipment controls Oversee plant maintenance and operation Keeping accurate inventory of cement, fly ash, admixtures, aggregates. Executes clean up procedures at during shift and the end of workday. Batches concrete load according to specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High School diploma, or equivalent. Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions in English. Skilled in the use and care of hand and small tool associated with the work (preferred). Must be able to work efficiently (sometimes) without supervision. Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Schedule:
40 hours a week Weekends (Overtime) Shift availability: Night (early) shift (Preferred) Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds. Must be able to perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, as well as whole-body movement (such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, crouching, bending, twisting, and handling materials). Must be able to work both inside and outside the manufacturing environment during long shifts, including weekends. The position requires manual dexterity, steady arm and hand movements, and a safety-oriented attitude. Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise. Must have the ability to focus on tasks for extended periods and to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
