Pay:

$25 - $27 Hourly (based on experience)

Shift Time:

11AM til Close (Must be flexible) Mon - Fri (Possibility of having to work weekends as well) Coordinate daily container moves between ports/rail ramps and customer facilities, ensuring drivers have accurate load details, appointment times, and routing. Monitor driver progress in real time using dispatch software/GPS, proactively resolving delays, port congestion issues, and equipment shortages. Communicate with customers regarding ETAs, delays, accessorials, and load status; maintain a high level of service and responsiveness. Schedule port/terminal appointments (e.g., through eModal, Port Houston, or terminal‑specific systems) and ensure drivers meet cutoff times. Required Knowledge & Skills Understanding of drayage operations, including port/rail processes, container flow, and steamship line requirements. Familiarity with port systems (eModal, Port Houston, BNSF/UP rail portals, terminal appointment systems). Knowledge of container types, chassis configurations, overweight rules, and basic DOT compliance. Ability to read and interpret BOLs, delivery orders, port releases, and EDI updates. Technical Skills Proficiency with TMS/dispatch platforms Ability to use GPS/telematics systems to track driver movement and load status. Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for tracking containers, appointments, and KPIs. Comfortable navigating steamship line portals and customer vendor systems. Communication & Problem Solving Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage expectations and communicate delays professionally. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment with constant changes. Quick decision‑making when dealing with port congestion, equipment shortages, or driver issues. Clear, concise communication with drivers — especially when giving time‑sensitive instructions.

$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
