Facility Operations Manager, Lead Dispatch, and Upper Management Team Ironhorse Resources, Inc. (IR) and Subsidiaries IHR Transport (IHRT) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ironhorse Resources, Inc. (IR). IHRT's transportation divisions include a Houston branch (located in Spring, TX) which houses our Over the Road trucking division; Our IHR Logistics division and the IHRT Company Driver division. IHRT also manages a Donna, TX facility which is structured as an intermodal drayage ramp for transportation service between San Antonio, TX and the Texas Valley region. Summary of Responsibilities The main responsibility of this IHR Transport role is to optimize the utilization of company resources by matching our available capacity with available customer loads. The position prioritizes loads by time schedule, and customer priority ensuring the minimization of dead-head and non-productive miles for owner/operators. This individual works closely with the Operations Manager for effective driver workload management. This position is responsible for selecting individual IHRT owner/operators for customer pick up and deliveries. The individual in this role should produce maximum profits while providing excellent service to our customer base. With the assistance of the Operations Supervisor, this Role will communicate and distribute the daily workloads in a manner that provides fair and balanced pay amongst all owner/operator drivers leased onto IHRT. He/She, in conjunction with all IHRT employees, must ensure that the loads are moving according to schedule and to the expectations of the customers. He/She must be able to coordinate with other departments and should foster the desire for growth of the IHRT business. He/She should make intelligent and tactful service decisions during all conversations with our customers. Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the Load Planner Monitor operations software for new loads and status of existing loads assigned to drivers/trucks. Dispatch loads and enter tracking data into company software system within expected timeframe. Distribute and communicate load tender details within expected timeframe Coordinate load pickups/deliveries to optimize utilization of equipment Assist in keeping our dispatch email reviewed, updated and respond to customer needs in a timely manner. Effective and timely communication with driver team as to keep them updated and aware of status conditions daily Coordinate with supervision to resolve driver issues and prevent service failures Review daily equipment deployment and identify optimization opportunities to increase revenue. Follow up on transit times and deliveries to avoid service failures Serve as primary contact for customers regarding the delivery process through phone, fax and email; ensure that all customer questions/complaints are answered/resolved in a timely and professional manner. Receive and process delivery receipts for proof of service completion used for the invoice process and driver payroll. Coordinate with other departments and foster growth for IHRT. Assist in managing safety procedures and training within company to meet OSHA, FMCSA and DOT guidelines. Clear communication of our customer service expectations to IHRT employees and drivers. Consistently follow up with IHRT team to ensure that the loads are moving according to the schedule and expectations of the customers. Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by management team Working Conditions Hours of operation are 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. This Role will work 8:00AM to 5:00PM, 7:00AM to 4:00PM (or) 7:30AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday and participate in after-hours on call as necessary. On occasion, there may be need for emergency assistance requiring information to which only you have access. In this event, we will require the ability to reach you outside the realm of standard working hours. There also may be occasions where you are called upon to help with after hours, on-call needs. Skills Required or Desired Ability to communicate with all levels of management. Ability to think quickly and maintain positive attitude in a fast paced environment. Previous dispatch and transportation supply chain experience is a plus but not a must. Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook. Ability to learn software program used to manage truck operations. Ability to learn accounting software. Ability to write and speak English. Spanish is a big plus but not required. U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S. Experience working with owner/operators is also a plus but not required.
