Program Manager/Dispatcher - Federal Transportation Services Care On Wheels Transportation Arlington, VA Job Details Full-time | Contract $25 - $35 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Program management Road transportation operations Operations management Service scheduling Staff scheduling Team scheduling Performance management Driver's License Supervising experience Reservation systems Dispatch software communication Leadership Customer service problem-solving Full Job Description Care On Wheels Transportation Services LLC is recruiting two experienced Program Manager/Dispatchers for an anticipated federal transportation-services contract supporting the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in Arlington, Virginia. This is a full-time, onsite position contingent upon the selected applicant satisfying applicable government suitability and security requirements.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily performance of drivers and dispatch personnel. Serve as the primary operational point of contact for the government's Contracting Officer's Representative. Ensure compliance with the contract's operational, safety, quality, security, reporting, and customer-service requirements. Receive and respond to authorized transportation requests. Supervise trip scheduling, vehicle assignments, dispatching, and completion of transportation requests. Coordinate, assign, and oversee daily transportation operations. Balance workloads to support as many as three concurrent transportation requests. Maintain real-time communication with drivers and customers. Monitor traffic conditions and coordinate route adjustments to maintain timely service. Train contractor personnel and authorized CISA personnel on the reservation and dispatch system. Monitor employee attendance, performance, professional appearance, and schedule coverage. Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and fuel or electric-battery charge. Coordinate vehicle maintenance with CISA fleet personnel and authorized maintenance facilities. Ensure employees complete required security, training, and administrative documentation. Report accidents, service interruptions, safety concerns, and performance problems. Maintain accurate operational records, dispatch information, trip documentation, and required reports. Provide responsive and professional service to government and executive-level customers.
Minimum qualifications:
At least five years of management or supervisory experience. At least two years of transportation-dispatching experience. Demonstrated experience supervising drivers or transportation personnel. Strong scheduling, communication, customer-service, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to use computerized reservation, dispatch, email, tracking, and reporting systems. Ability to work onsite in Arlington, Virginia, during the assigned shift. Familiarity with Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and the National Capital Region is strongly preferred. Government or executive-transportation experience is preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to satisfy company driving requirements if assigned driving responsibilities. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Anticipated schedules:
6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; or 9:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday 40 paid hours per week, with a daily unpaid meal period Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to satisfy applicable DHS personnel-security, suitability, fingerprinting, and background-investigation requirements. Access to certain DHS systems may be subject to citizenship or agency-waiver requirements. This anticipated position is contingent upon government suitability or approval. The anticipated contract start date is approximately September 30, 2026. Final compensation will meet or exceed any applicable federal Service Contract Labor Standards wage and fringe-benefit requirements.
