(Geographic Information Systems), and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine to plan routes, track shipments, and optimize delivery schedules. Coordinate with carriers, drivers, warehouse teams, and customers via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Monitor real-time fleet movements using GPS technology to ensure adherence to schedules and address any delays or issues promptly. Input data accurately into logistics software, including shipping & receiving records, freight details, and transportation data entries. Oversee shipping documentation, freight manifests, and compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with supply chain teams to improve transportation planning processes and resolve logistical challenges efficiently. Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, vehicle maintenance schedules, and communication logs for audit purposes. Support freight management by coordinating with 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers and managing shipping schedules. Assist in analyzing transportation data to identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements. Skills Proficiency with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms. Strong understanding of logistics principles including shipping & receiving, fleet management, and supply chain operations. Experience with GPS tracking tools, GIS applications, and analysis skills for route optimization. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage high-volume phone calls professionally. Organizational skills capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Data entry accuracy using systems like AS400 or SyteLine; typing skills are essential. Knowledge of freight procedures, 3PL coordination, and transportation planning strategies. Familiarity with shipping documentation standards and compliance regulations. Ability to analyze logistical data for operational improvements; experience with analysis tools is a plus. Strong dispatching skills combined with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
