Full Job Description Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of dispatch experience, preferably within an Amazon DSP or a similar logistics environment. As a Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our delivery services by coordinating drivers, monitoring routes, and resolving logistical issues in real-time. This is a seasonal position with a 5-day work week, offering a great work-life balance. This position is initially seasonal, with the assignment running through at least mid January. However, there is a strong potential for the position to continue beyond January, as the station is expected to need ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage 35+ drivers using the Amazon Logistics Cortex system. Dispatch drivers efficiently and coordinate rescues for those needing assistance. Manage and coordinate fleet activity including Repairs and Preventative Maintenance. Coach drivers on Netradyne defects and Safety defects, dispute incorrectly assigned defects promptly. Assist drivers in resolving logistical issues while on the road. Conduct Return-to-Station (RTS) driver and vehicle inspections. Monitor driver behavior, including break times and route adherence, and hold drivers accountable as needed. Assist with load-out during opening shifts. Step in to run delivery routes if necessary. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the team.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of dispatch experience (Amazon DSP experience preferred). Strong computer skills and familiarity with dispatch software. Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and ability to coach and support drivers. Must be at least 21 years old. Clean motor vehicle report and ability to pass a 4-panel drug screening (marijuana not tested). Ability to pass a background check.
