Woodfin - Your Home Team is in search of a dynamic Dispatcher to become a valuable part of our team. The Dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service by facilitating clear and efficient communication among technicians, department managers, and team members. Responsibilities include scheduling, handling a substantial call volume, and making independent decisions while maintaining a strong customer service focus.

What You'll Do:
Operate a multi-line phone system and online messaging system in order to communicate with internal and external customers regarding job orders and needs. Maintain a "Big Picture" view of calendar regarding technician scheduling in order to assign real time and future technician jobs. Stay up-to-date of the Central Virginia territory and changes that may occur (e.g. directions, zip codes, local terminology, additional routes, etc. which may influence the timeliness of a technician's response time). Continually exhibit a positive customer service mentality with both internal and external customers. Remain confident in your ability to make the correct decision when determining technician call order and stops. Answer incoming phone calls as needed to assist in complete departmental coverage. Periodically work extended hours during peak times; including nights, weekends, and at home. Work a rotating schedule to cover weekends and holidays. Members of this team are also able to earn overtime as available.
What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have expert directional understanding of the Central Virginia area (i.e. zip codes, local terminology: West End, South Side, The Fan, general travel time between locations, etc.). Previous experience with service dispatch is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills; including excellent telephone skills. Experience with a multi-line telephone system. Fluent English-speaking and writing skills. Organized, detail oriented, able to handle a variety of tasks in a simultaneous manner. Must be an independent thinker - "Go Getter" mentality exhibiting initiative to make decisions and trust your instincts.
