This role is responsible for planning and coordinating daily truck routes, scheduling inbound and outbound deliveries, and ensuring efficient transportation operations throughout Western Washington. The ideal candidate has experience dispatching trucks across a large delivery territory, including Bellingham, the Olympic Peninsula, and south to Chehalis, and is comfortable building routes with multiple daily stops (12-13 deliveries per route) while maintaining efficiency and excellent customer service.

PM Location:
Tacoma, WA Responsibilities Plan and dispatch daily delivery routes throughout Western Washington. Build efficient multi-stop delivery routes with drivers completing up to 12-13 stops per day. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with company drivers and third-party carriers. Schedule and track incoming materials and customer deliveries. Communicate delivery schedules, route changes, and transportation updates with Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and drivers. Monitor transportation costs and assist with route optimization and delivery zone planning. Develop and maintain relationships with transportation vendors to secure competitive freight rates. Coordinate driver start times and daily delivery schedules. Review and submit shipping manifests and transportation documentation daily. Ensure compliance with State and Federal DOT regulations. Participate in workplace safety initiatives and company safety meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation, dispatching, logistics, truck routing, or the lumber/building materials industry.
Required:
Experience dispatching and routing trucks throughout Western Washington, including routes from Bellingham to Chehalis and the Olympic Peninsula. Experience planning multi-stop delivery routes (10-13+ stops per day). Strong understanding of routing efficiency, scheduling, and transportation logistics. Working knowledge of State and Federal DOT regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
