Responsible for dispatching and tracking scheduled delivery activities to ensure a timely process and flow of materials. Schedules the movement of all inbound and outbound goods and services with shipping, receiving, security and other departments as necessary. Essential Job Duties Dispatch trucks and all orders to be processed. Ensure parts and services are delivered in a timely manner. Set routes with drivers. Set up paperwork for incoming vendors. Communicate with sales, warehouse, and delivery staff on delivery and routing issues. May have to handle UPS orders and customer pickups. Ensure that all vendors' parts are correctly processed per company policy. Ensure that all returns to vendors are done correctly following company policy. Assume other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Not responsible for supervising employees. Minimum Requirements Education & Experience High School Diploma/GED 0+ years of experience required Preferred Requirements No Preferred Education Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic computer skills. Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records. Problems encountered are simple, repetitive and generallly solved by clear directions and procedures. Follows standard procedures with no decision making involved. Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager. Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager. No additional competencies required. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
