Candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of freight, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and customers. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities Coordinate daily dispatch operations to ensure efficient transportation planning and logistics management. Utilize GPS technologies to optimize routes and monitor fleet movements. Manage transportation management systems for tracking shipments and managing data entry. Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders via multi-line phone systems to provide updates on freight status. Analyze transportation data to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance service delivery. Oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including fleet management details and freight documentation. Qualifications Proven experience in dispatching, logistics management, or similar role. Good understanding of supply chain processes, transportation planning, and freight operations. Excellent communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette to interact professionally with customers and team members. Proficient typing skills for accurate data entry. Strong analytical skills to assess operational performance and implement improvements. Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities effectively.
