TEMA is currently accepting resumes for the position of Program Monitor 3. An employee in this class remains up to date on grant policies and procedures as they are implemented to monitor agencies receiving public funds from the State. The Program Monitor 3 evaluates compliance with State and Federal regulations and prepares reports detailing the conclusions. Responsibilities Experience monitoring recipients of large or complex government grants, OR experience implementing Laws, Government Regulations, and Agency Rules for compliance. Experience preparing written letters and reports.

Abilities:

Organization Reading Comprehension Complex Problem Solving Judgment and Decision Making Deductive Reasoning Microsoft Office tools Conducts monitoring of contracted agencies to ensure compliance with departmental policies and state and federal laws. Schedules and coordinates reviews to manage and prioritize workflow. Conducts conferences with contract agency representatives to obtain information applicable to the monitoring process. Obtains contract agency responses to questions about operations and how services are delivered to gather information for monitoring purposes. Reviews supporting documentation and discusses program monitoring with supervisors and peers to ensure established policies and procedures are followed. Writes formal reports with detailed findings, justification for findings, and corrective action to provide a formal record for the department and to communicate findings with all parties. Ensures that the document files are complete to ensure the findings, concerns, recommendations, and conclusions are supported. Develops tools and procedures in order to maintain high performance standards. All positions in this class require occasional travel. An applicant for this class must be willing to travel to be considered for a position in this class; Possession of a valid driver's license is an essential function of the position. As part of the Tennessee Emergency Management Authority's mission, all positions may be called upon to support emergency operations.
