JOB SUMMARY

Directs all aspects of Emergency Management for the Abilene Market to include developing and implementing emergency response and recovery plans, developing working relationships with local, state, and federal agency representatives, and ensuring emergency management compliance with Joint Commission standards. Directs all aspects of campus security for the Abilene Market to include maintaining oversight of a private security bureau, ensuring adequate staffing and resources to provide the appropriate level of security throughout the campus and ensuring security compliance with Joint Commission standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree preferred. Minimum Work Experience 5 years' experience in healthcare emergency management or security 3 years management experience Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position Meet required educational training as Administrator of Hendrick Hospice Care Be available during agency's operation hours Understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/problems of terminally ill patients and families Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and performance improvement activities Demonstrate interpersonal skills Proven managerial skills Compose applicable policies and procedures Audit, monitor, and retrieve data Coordinate meetings Interview others Proven written and editing skills Research information Strong computer skills Supervisory experience required Requires ability to handle confidential information
