Job Description

Company Background Horizon Global Holdings, LLC, and its affiliates, operate throughout the Midwest, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. Horizon provides ambulance and fire protection services to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the Department of Energy (DOE). We are expanding into the West Virginia and Western Virginia regions, including the Lynchburg and Roanoke areas. Horizon is seeking the best talent to serve our clients and patients. EMS Operations/Clinical Director Horizon is currently seeking an outstanding candidate for the position of EMS Operations/Clinical Director . A part-time position is available only to a retired EMS Director or retired Fire Chief with EMS operations experience. The part-time position requires a minimum of three to four days per week in the office. The duties and responsibilities will be the same as those listed below but will be shared with an additional Field Supervisor. The full-time EMS Operations/Clinical Director position is a salaried position with a salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 annually . This position requires 24-hour oversight of the operation and includes the qualifications and responsibilities listed below. This position requires exceptional management, training, recruitment, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to implement company policies, procedures, and applicable state regulations. The successful candidate must be able to effectively manage employees from diverse backgrounds and experience levels while demonstrating strong leadership and sound decision-making abilities. Desirable Qualifications Licensed Paramedic or Registered Nurse with EMS operations experience in Virginia. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Four (4) years of full-time equivalent EMS or clinical experience. Experience in a 911 EMS system or hospital Emergency Department. Previous supervisory experience. In-depth knowledge of Virginia and West Virginia EMS regulations and requirements. Ability to work independently or as part of a team while taking initiative to resolve issues and accomplish assigned tasks. Strong organizational and communication skills. Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines. Proficiency with digital communication tools and technology. Positive, personable, flexible, and capable of providing firm management and leadership. Ability to recruit, hire, and retain qualified personnel to meet operational obligations. Strong fiscal management skills and the ability to comprehend complex and detailed information. Ability to serve as a positive role model, remain flexible and adaptable to change, perform effectively under pressure, and communicate professionally both verbally and in writing. Must maintain clinical and professional competency appropriate to the services provided and the needs of all age groups served. The EMS industry is constantly evolving and requires individuals with strong work ethics, excellent management skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. This position is demanding and may require additional hours when staffing shortages or operational needs arise. Applicants must provide professional references, complete employment history, and relevant work experience. All candidates must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as either a Paramedic or Registered Nurse.
