Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and lift/move items over 50 pounds. Job Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Perform routine inspections of assigned buildings, common areas, mechanical rooms, laboratories, and facility systems. Identify and report facility issues such as leaks, damaged flooring, painting needs, maintenance problems, and safety concerns. Monitor open maintenance service orders and track repairs through completion. Submit and document work orders and maintain internal tracking records. Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with Base Maintenance and appropriate facility personnel. Coordinate access and escort maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors when required. Communicate regularly with building occupants and leadership regarding facility issues and scheduled work. Coordinate and support building outages, including after-hours or weekend outages when required. Maintain key control and assist with building access requirements. Monitor custodial and grounds maintenance and report deficiencies. Assist with annual building inspections, space audits, and laboratory inspections. Support office and laboratory moves. Coordinate onsite construction, repair, and facility improvement activities. Monitor vendor activities and applicable safety requirements. Coordinate with Facility SMEs when specialized mechanical, electrical, security, or technical support is required. Perform follow-up inspections to verify facility work has been completed. Assist with furniture, breakroom equipment, housekeeping, and other routine building support needs. Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or other equipment when trained and authorized. Respond to day-to-day facility issues and elevate significant or unusual problems to the appropriate lead or Facilities Operations Manager.
Experience/Skills/Education:
High School diploma and 6 years of general experience required. BS/BA degree will substitute for 4 years' experience. Associate's degree will substitute for 2 years' experience. Experience with the following a plus: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint Must be able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Strong written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
