Job Description Required qualifications for each Training Specialist Each Training Specialist shall have the following credentials: Shall be a graduate of an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in education, construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered with Contracting Officer approval. Minimum of five years of experience in training development, instructional delivery, or workforce development. Preferably in facilities management, construction, or federal programs. Demonstrated experience in developing, coordinating, and delivering both virtual and in‑person training programs for diverse audiences. Experience providing technical training on enterprise systems such as Maximo or similar asset management systems. Knowledge of facilities management processes, including work order development, project tracking, and data management practices. Ability to develop structured training curricula, instructional materials, user guides, standard operating procedures, and reference documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; virtual training platforms such as Teams or Zoom. Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and manage regional and nationwide training events. Ability to collect, manage, and maintain participant attendance, training records, and performance metrics. Ability to communicate effectively, concisely, and authoritatively in English both orally and in writing. Experience preparing correspondence, written reports, and briefing management personnel. Experience supporting data quality improvement efforts and incorporating user feedback into continuous program improvements. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with BIE staff, contractors, and school personnel. A valid driver's license and ability to travel to support in‑person training events. Tasking, duties, and responsibilities The Training Specialist shall provide BIE with comprehensive training support aligned with facilities management processes, data quality improvement, and consistent system utilization across BIE schools. The scope of services includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: A. Training Program Development and Delivery Plans, develops, and facilitates monthly training sessions in both virtual and in‑person formats for BIE facilities management personnel. Develops structured agendas, lesson plans, and materials aligned with BIE processes and system requirements. Tailors instruction to varying levels of participant experience, including Facility Managers and administrative staff. Documents all training sessions, including participant attendance, school representation, and contact information. B. Maximo and Systems Training Support Provides one‑on‑one and small‑group Maximo training on work order creation, updates, and closeout procedures. Supports users in applying data entry standards and improving reporting accuracy. Assists with troubleshooting common issues and coordinating with system administrators or contractors. C. Training Coordination and Event Management Coordinates regional workshops, training sessions, and BFM‑sponsored events including logistics, scheduling, and stakeholder communication. Collaborates with BIE leadership, ADDs, EPAs, and other stakeholders to identify training priorities. Supports large‑scale initiatives such as Bootcamps and regional engagements. D. Training Materials and Documentation Develops, updates, and maintains user guides, SOPs, job aids, and reference materials. Ensures all materials reflect current policies, procedures, and system functionality. Maintains a centralized repository of training resources accessible to BIE personnel. E. Quality Improvement and Data Accuracy Support Reinforces work order quality standards through training and follow‑up engagement. Supports improvements in Maximo data accuracy by strengthening user understanding of documentation requirements. Identifies common data quality issues and incorporates corrective guidance into future training. F. Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement Conducts formal and informal evaluations of training effectiveness using participant feedback and metrics. Analyzes outcomes to identify gaps and recommends improvements. Supports the development and maturation of a standardized BIE facilities management training program. G. General Support Provides ongoing support to facilities personnel to reinforce training concepts and ensure successful implementation. Coordinates with Quality Control, Maximo, and Program Management staff to align training with policies and execution. Performs other duties as assigned that support workforce capability, system utilization, and program performance.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits:
