This role is at the heart of Meta's mission to build technologies that bring the world closer together—ensuring the physical infrastructure that powers our global products and services operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.

This role leads the facility operations team to safely operate and maintain Meta's data center physical infrastructure, including all mechanical, electrical, automation, and building systems. The DCCFM drives technical and operational rigor by mentoring technical leaders, oversees EHS compliance, utilizes metrics to monitor performance, and partners with leadership to align priorities. As the leader of the facility operations team, the DCCFM fosters a team culture rooted in ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Data Center Campus Facility Manager Responsibilities:
Establish, mentor, and lead a Facility Operations team responsible for the maintenance and operations of the mechanical, electrical, automation, and building infrastructure on a data center campus. Lead in a fast paced, hands-on, 24/7 operating environment. Uphold processes and standards to enable efficiency and effectiveness. Partner with Meta Construction and Design teams throughout the build phase (new & retrofit) to ensure operational readiness when turned over to the Facility Operations Team. Facilitate a safe work environment, in compliance with Meta standards. Partner with Environmental, Health, and Safety Lead on all regulatory compliance, environmental requirements, reporting, and operational programs. Manage, mentor and develop managers and individual contributors. Collaborate with counterparts at other sites, centralized teams, and leadership to promote efficiencies and sharing of lessons across the global organization. Participate in incident management practices related to the data center, including communication, reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans. Oversee critical vendor management and collaborate with utility providers and local authorities. Ensure tooling and automation system interfaces are maintained to ensure best possible data center performance. Ensure the Site Operational Budget is aligned with financial requirements. Respond as needed to after hours operations and system complications. Travel up to 20% with up to 50% travel during the onboarding phase.
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years critical operations experience 4+ year's experience in team management Experience in personnel and team management, including managing Managers or large teams of contractors, in a critical operations environment Experience making decisions with minimal direction Knowledge and understanding of critical power and cooling infrastructure Experience with environmental, health and safety programs Experience communicating and presenting complex material effectively Experience in cross functional, collaborative environments
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in data center environments 12+ years operations experience 8+ years experience in team management Experience or training in incident command and response Experience managing teams of 30+ people Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards, including NFPA and ASHRAE, electrical safety Experience with enterprise asset management (EAM) systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
