Since our founding, we have transformed lives by providing shelter and support services to more than 60,000 adults and children affected by domestic violence. We provide a broad spectrum of services to victims of domestic violence, while working with professionals in the field on education, research and advocacy with the goal of ending domestic violence.
Job Summary:
The Facility Coordinator works directly with the Facilities Manager and community partners to guarantee service excellence for staff, visitors, and participants. Being an important member of the facilities team, the Facilities Coordinator, will be the primary contact for assessing work orders for urgent matters, assigning work orders, coordinating third party vendors, scheduling external assistance, creating expense forms, and processing paperwork for billing purposes. The Facilities Team is responsible to perform professional building maintenance tasks and repairs on all Sojourner Center campuses (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, HVAC, plumbing) with minimal supervision.Schedule:
Monday-Friday (Some weekends and evenings, as needed. On-Call.)Rate of Pay:
$22.00/hour Essential Functions 1. Provides administration supports managing vendors and suppliers by scheduling tasks and communicating expected deliverables. 2. Schedules appointments with vendors prioritizing urgent matters. 3. Oversees coordination of timely and high-quality repairs. 4. Maintains a professional relationship with community partners, vendors and all stakeholders. 5. Monitors progress, identifies change when necessary, to meet project goals and communicates immediately with supervisor. 6. Communicates professionally both verbally and in writing. 7. Maintains a strong awareness of and commitment to asset stewardship at all campuses. 8. Honors all regulatory standards and contract obligations for the maintenance of facilities. 9. Reports regularly to the Facilities Manager regarding preventive maintenance activity, strengths, and variables. 10. Provides hands-on support with a variety of building maintenance tasks and repairs on all Sojourner Center campuses. 11. Supports in overseeing the effective accomplishment of preventive maintenance and custodian responsibilities, providing support, guidance and resources for Facilities personnel; utilizes database tools for the planning and monitoring of the preventive maintenance tasks. 12. May assist with special agency projects as assigned. 13. May hold on-call status as assigned. 14. Acts as a liaison to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of facility projects. 15. Coordinates projects under supervisor's guidance with facilities personnel, providing in the pursuit of asset stewardship. 16. Supports and schedules preventive maintenance and custodian responsibilities. 17. Utilizes database tools for planning and monitoring of the preventive maintenance tasks. 18. Utilizes computer software for tracking work orders, email communication, creating corporate records, and is capable using technology in a standard office setting.Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

Ability to obtain a Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card. Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid Arizona Driver License proof of automobile insurance and Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to Sojourner Center's insurance company. Physical Factors/Working Conditions Ability to work in a office/warehouse setting. Ability to drive and operate a company vehicle to perform pickup and delivery of orders. Ability to lift and move items weighing 60 lbs. Requires the use of a computer and other standard office equipment. Travel between work locations and within the community is required. Scheduled hours requires flexibility for occasional schedule changes. Ability to lift at least 60 lbs., bend, stretch, twist and be able to be on feet for long periods of time.
