Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Executive Director is responsible for providing overall leadership, direction, and operational oversight of the Sun City West Facility. Under the supervision of the CEO and COO, this position ensures the facility operates in alignment with the organization's mission, vision, values, policies, procedures, and strategic objectives while maintaining high standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, quality, and operational performance. The Executive Director oversees financial and operational performance, staffing, facility resources, and quality improvement initiatives; identifies and resolves operational risks and challenges; supports and develops facility leadership and staff; and serves as the primary liaison between the Sun City West Facility and executive leadership to promote accountability, efficiency, collaboration, and continued organizational growth. Job Functions Under the supervision of the CEO and COO, the Executive Director directs, supervises, and coordinates the overall business and operational activities of the Sun City West Facility. The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring that organizational goals, policies, procedures, and standards are effectively implemented and maintained within the facility. The Executive Director provides leadership and oversight for the facility's clinical, operational, financial, quality, staffing, and administrative functions. This position monitors and reports on key performance indicators and identifies and addresses operational, financial, compliance, staffing, and quality-related issues that may affect the performance or reputation of the facility or organization. The Executive Director serves as the primary liaison between the Sun City West Facility and executive leadership, providing timely communication regarding facility performance, operational needs, risks, accomplishments, and opportunities for improvement. The Executive Director is responsible for communicating and reinforcing the mission, vision, values, and expectations of the organization throughout the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provides overall leadership, direction, and operational oversight for the Sun City West Facility.
- Participates in the development and implementation of organizational strategic plans, governance structures, operational goals, and practice-management objectives as they relate to the Sun City West Facility.
- Ensures facility operations are aligned with organizational policies, procedures, standards, strategic objectives, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participates in the establishment and implementation of organizational policies and procedures and interprets policies, objectives, and operational procedures for facility staff.
- Participates in the development and implementation of the organization's mission, vision, and values, including the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused healthcare.
- Monitors and evaluates the financial, operational, clinical, quality, compliance, and performance metrics of the Sun City West Facility.
- Analyzes facility performance and recommends operational, organizational, policy, and procedural changes as necessary to improve efficiency, quality, patient care, compliance, and financial performance.
- Ensures approved operational and organizational changes are effectively implemented within the facility.
- Identifies and resolves issues related to staffing, employee performance, utilization of the facility, equipment, supplies, and other operational resources.
- Provides leadership, guidance, feedback, coaching, and support to facility managers, supervisors, and staff.
- Maintains appropriate staffing levels and works with organizational leadership and Human Resources to address recruitment, retention, performance management, and workforce planning needs.
- Delegates authority and responsibility appropriately while maintaining accountability for the overall performance and operations of the facility.
- Promotes effective communication and collaboration among clinical, operational, administrative, and support departments.
- Identifies operational risks and implements appropriate corrective actions or escalates matters to the CEO, COO, or other executive leadership when necessary.
- Participates in the development, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing refinement of quality improvement initiatives at the Sun City West Facility.
- Supports compliance with applicable federal, state, local, accreditation, licensing, and organizational requirements.
- Participates in professional development activities to remain current with trends, regulations, and best practices in healthcare administration, behavioral health, addiction treatment, and facility operations.
- Represents the Sun City West Facility in meetings with organizational leadership, employees, patients, families, community partners, vendors, regulatory representatives, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
- Promotes a professional, collaborative, accountable, and patient-centered organizational culture.
- Undertakes special projects and additional responsibilities as directed by the CEO and COO.
