The Community Center Specialist requires an outgoing personality who enjoys working with a team and in group settings. SUMMARY Incumbents plan, implement, and facilitate programs and special events. Incumbents supervise facilities or specific programs or activities, and are responsible for customer service, problem-solving, and rule adjudication. Incumbents maintain inventory, and may be assigned as cashier to receive checks and cash. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
High school diploma or G.E.D., and two years related experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed on the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS A
Fingerprint Clearance Card (FCC) from the Arizona Department of Public Safety is required. Proof of having an FCC or proof of having applied for an FCC must be provided within seven days of the date of hire. The cost of obtaining an FCC will be provided by the Human Service & Community Vitality Department.SELECTION PROCESS
