Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the food service program in accordance with company policies and federal/state regulations Provide leadership to ensure food quality, inventory control, food safety, and strong customer service Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment; provide reports to the Administrator Ensure adequate supply levels and conduct periodic inventories Train new employees, monitor performance, and recommend disciplinary actions when needed Serve as the liaison between residents, staff, administrators, and management Communicate directives from administrators and management to dietary staff Perform duties of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher when needed for training or coverage Conduct ongoing training, quality control checks, and in-servicing using QCIs for documentation Serve as a department head and maintain a professional environment Attend meetings and complete dietary assessments for residents Hire, schedule, evaluate, and discipline dietary staff
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's degree or higher in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred Specialized training in foodservice management and nutrition preferred Current ServSafe certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) required At least one year of experience as a Dietary Director in a Skilled Nursing Facility Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
