Job Description
We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to support a Contract assignment in California. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and can help prepare a site for an upcoming move by handling packing-related tasks, organizing materials, and assisting with day-to-day facilities needs. The position requires a reliable, physically capable, detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently in an active environment while supporting office and building operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with packing, moving, unloading, and unpacking boxes and office materials as part of site preparation activities.
- Organize furniture, supplies, and equipment to help maintain safe and orderly work areas during the move process.
- Support conference room readiness by arranging spaces, checking setup needs, and addressing basic facilities requests.
- Update and track work activities using CMMS or other computerized maintenance management systems as needed.
- Coordinate with facilities staff and vendors to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and workplace needs are addressed promptly.
- Perform general facilities support duties, including responding to routine service requests and helping maintain shared office areas.
- Follow safety procedures when lifting, transporting, and staging materials throughout the facility.
- Assist with administrative timekeeping or task tracking processes, including use of systems such as Kronos when required.
