Job DescriptionScope:
The facilities manager oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with service providers, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff if needed.Task and Duties:
Communication and management, incl. coaching, of facility resources and tools;Manage and operate facility systems;Serving as key-point of contact for Facility questions;Daily / Weekly huddle with Facility team;Monthly 1-on-1's with Facility team;Annual mid & end year reviews with Facility team;Set annual improvement objectives for Facility team;Attend and participate actively in the monthly Service Management meeting;Manage implementation and maintain of all applicable local compliance, laws and regulations;Perform Risk Assessments of all facilities in order to identify hazards and mitigate risk to employee and visitors;Participate in the set-up, development and testing of the Business Continuity Plan (for technical installations);Participation of execution of District Tactical Business Plan;Develop, maintain and continuously manage Facility Business Plan, Service Provider and/or maintenance contract (incl. SLA) to identify Expeditors' vision, key performance indicators, and measures for success according the set objectives, escalate to Shared Service Manager / DM;Maintain and perform quarterly scheduled scorecard / SLA reviews of all critical areas of the relationship;Responsible for self-audits for facility maintenance and maintenance of the technical installations;Own, manage and report all Facility & Technical installation, suppliers / sub-contractors, guarantees, maintenance program and costs with; District, The regional and global team and governmental officials (when applicable);Lead facility to ensure excellent of the work environment, by the local program (house rules);Communicate, develop and maintain the full execution of Expeditors District house rules;Keep District Management Team up-to-date on new developments, maintenance contracts and suppliers;Market research on Service Providers and new developments in different areas;Improve quality standards through addressing continuous improvement methods;Ensure the Service Provider has a proactive focus on innovation and drive for continuous improvements. Highlight value of the relationship between the District and the Service Provider (i.e.: cost savings, standards improvement) and actively participate in the preparation of the appreciation event;Manage an effective procurement of capacity & costs for the District (facility);Provide assistance in resolution of claims and disputes; credits and collections;All other activities as instructed & specified by the direct Manager;Physical DemandsUse of standard office equipment - computer with keyboard and mouse, phone, fax/copy/scan machine, etc. The ability to work off-siteFunctions performed primarily while seated at deskExpeditors Core Competencies:

Pursues professional development goals for self, including participating in a development plan as appropriate.Facility Manager Job-Specific CompetenciesDistrict Facility Operations Expertise As District Facility manager, you are responsible for the overall execution of the maintenance program and qualify, engage, develop, maintain and manage Expeditors District activities with Facility & Technical Service Providers. You manage all aspects of Expeditors relationship with the District Facility & Technical Service Providers to achieve optimum value and provide exceptional facility and/or maintenance services. You're also participate with execution of the Tactical Business Plan and the realization of continuous enhancements and improvements to guarantee Expeditors high quality standards, secure and/or realize monthly costs reduction
