In Person A Unique Management Opportunity in Danville Danville Vault & Storage is seeking an exceptional Facility Manager to help launch and manage a brand-new private vault and high-security storage facility in Danville, California. This is not a traditional self-storage management position. Danville Vault & Storage is a specialized facility designed for individuals, families, professionals, investors, and businesses seeking an elevated level of security, privacy, discretion, and customer service. The facility will offer private vault suites, safe deposit boxes with insurance options, high-security storage, climate-controlled environments, biometric access controls, private customer areas, and multiple layers of physical and electronic security. We are looking for a manager who understands that customers entrusting us with important documents, family valuables, precious metals, collectibles, estate assets, and other high-value property expect an exceptional level of professionalism, confidentiality, and service. About the
Position:
As the Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and customer experience at Danville Vault & Storage. Because this is a brand-new facility , the selected manager will have the unique opportunity to be involved from the beginning — completing pre-opening training, learning the facility's specialized security and access procedures, assisting with customer onboarding, and helping establish the service standards and daily routines of the property. We are targeting a training start date of approximately October 15, 2026 , in preparation for the facility's anticipated opening in November. This position requires someone who is trustworthy, highly professional, detail-oriented, comfortable with technology, and exceptionally strong in customer service. Builds trust naturally with customers Communicates confidently and professionally Understands the importance of customer privacy and discretion Pays close attention to details and established procedures Remains calm and professional in sensitive situations Is comfortable learning sophisticated security and access systems Takes ownership of the appearance and operation of the facility Understands that security procedures must be followed consistently, without shortcuts Can provide personalized service while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operation of Danville Vault & Storage Deliver an exceptional customer experience in person, by phone, and through email Introduce prospective customers to available vault suites, safe deposit boxes, storage options, and facility features Conduct professional facility tours and explain security, access, privacy, and rental procedures Assist new customers through the rental and onboarding process Process customer agreements, payments, account changes, and related documentation Maintain accurate and confidential customer records Explain available products, services, and insurance options in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements Follow all identity verification, access control, key control, and customer authorization procedures Monitor and administer customer access in accordance with facility security protocols Learn and properly operate biometric access and other facility security systems Conduct routine facility and security inspections Maintain detailed operational and security records Promptly identify and report unusual activity, security concerns, or access issues Maintain strict confidentiality regarding customers, accounts, facility procedures, and customer activity Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and welcoming facility Coordinate maintenance and vendor access in accordance with security procedures Assist management with pre-opening activities, customer outreach, waitlist follow-up, and facility launch Follow all company policies, security procedures, and insurance requirements Customer Service Expectations Customer service is at the center of this position. Many customers may be protecting assets that are personally significant, financially valuable, confidential, or irreplaceable. The Facility Manager must be capable of creating confidence without being intrusive. We are looking for someone who can provide a high-touch, professional customer experience while respecting the privacy and discretion expected in a private vault environment. Experience providing customer service to professionals, business owners, financial services customers, luxury clientele, property owners, or other relationship-based customers is highly valued. The selected candidate must:
Be able to satisfy the bonding and insurance eligibility requirements applicable to this position Successfully complete all required pre-employment screening and background-check requirements Maintain eligibility for required bonding and insurance coverage throughout employment Demonstrate the integrity, discretion, and judgment necessary for a position involving secure customer access and high-value property Maintain strict confidentiality regarding customers and facility security procedures Additional information regarding the bonding and insurance process will be provided to qualified candidates during the hiring process. Schedule This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position working five days per week . Weekend availability is required. The regular schedule will include five scheduled workdays based on the operating needs of the facility. The selected candidate should also have some scheduling flexibility during the facility's opening and initial ramp-up period. New Facility Training & Opening Danville Vault & Storage is currently under development and preparing for its initial opening. Our goal is to have the Facility Manager hired and beginning training by approximately October 15, 2026 , allowing time to become familiar with company procedures, customer service expectations, security systems, access protocols, rental procedures, and the facility itself before opening. The facility is tentatively scheduled to open in November 2026 .
